Yeah, I hate that thing.

[She's hauling herself out clumsily still, reaching for Ashlyn's hand without thinking.

The second they touch, she sees nothing but fire. Smoking flesh. Ashlyn is on fire. An illusion so tangible she screams, ripping back into the swamp, utter horror wiping her mind blank.]

[ ashlyn has no idea what's wrong but lets go immediately. and brings her hands to her ears. ]

What? What's wrong?

[Camille just stares a moment, unable to process much of anything.]

You... [Oh. Her ears. Camille is now just left bobbing stupidly in the thick, nasty swamp, probably summoning leeches, but still she has to apologize first.] Sorry! I'm sorry, for a moment you were — you completely on fire.

[Which. Sounds insane. And only reminds her of her own still-screaming burns. Camille grimaces and awkwardly makes for the bank, using elbows to help draw herself free.]

[ ashlyn backs up at least so there's plenty of room for camille to drag herself back out of the swamp AGAIN. ]

I have no idea whether that's a fog side-effect or a swamp side-effect, but I'm fine.
