[We are all just strugglebussing through this wacky world of death and destruction ig, holds your hand]
Oh, the Mothman may be a more local spook than some others — mostly an apparition seen in the dark of a big, winged creature with glowing red eyes. I think it's associated with premonitions? There's a half-assed Richard Gere flick about it called "The Mothman Prophecies", but other than that I can't say there's much to the myth.
[I personally am hoping it is a real Moth Man. Or maybe the real monster is Richard Gere]
I agree. I thought maybe a dragon had something to do with the fire at the swamp, though I've been informed that not all dragons breathe fire. [She frown, thumbing over the list.] I suppose...something here would be associated with hatred, and another with swapping bodies. No idea which that would apply to though.
[The mythological associations she can remember are kind of useless. Unless their unicorns can detect virgins?]
[ I do think a mg power should just be 'detect virginity'. ]
Interesting. It'd be nice if this one could also provide with some future-sight, but we'll see how likely that is. Eventually.
Anyway, I think we shouldn't be too married to what we think of when we say a specific kind of monster, but overthinking it will probably be bad too. Simplest solution and all that -- may as well stick to a thought and stay there until proven otherwise.
I'm personally suspecting the Succubus or Incubus, if we assume love and hate effects are two sides of the same coin here. They seem like similar powers with the same amount of active time, just opposite.
Definitely better to work backwards from an observation than move ahead on pure speculation.
Good point about the succubus and incubi though — my memory is still foggy on the subject but I do think they were associated with sex or affection. Something like that.
As for the rest, maybe I can wheedle a few more details out of the people who confessed to me. Keep it vague, hopefully avoid getting struck by unholy thunder.

Reconvene if you do?
no subject
Absolutely. You'd be the first to know.
[Then, hesitantly:]
...Anything else, while we're at it?

[ Thinks about it. ]
Oh, thank you for your cooperation today about your injury. Feel free to let me know if it bothers you later.

No. It's fine.

Rest, Camille. Just a reminder from your local one-of-two-doctors.
